Big news for my hometown Blue Ridge, Georgia! A major motion picture will have one of the scenes shot at the Swan Drive-in. It is scheduled for June 19th and 20th. The Need for Speed movie will be released in 2014.
Tammy Smith Casting was in town yesterday looking for cars and extras to be used in the movie. Hot rods from the 1950's to modern day muscle lined the streets of downtown. It was quite a sight to see! The Fannin County Relay for Life car show was held with the proceeds going to the American Cancer Society. 100's of people got in line to have their picture taken in hopes of being used as an extra in the movie. Car owners as well submitted their car for consideration to be used in the movie. I have always wanted to be an extra in a movie. So I had my picture made as well. Good luck to those who applied! This would be really cool to take part in this movie. Who would have ever thought my little hometown would ever be a part of a major motion picture! Cant wait to see the movie!
I photographed a shoot at Three Sisters Fudge shop located in downtown Blue Ridge, Georgia a few months back. Their new website is up and running and two HDR images I created of their building are displayed on their page. Visit the link below to view the pictures. Be sure and stop by their store sometime and sample their delicious fudge!

This past Monday I came across an accident in White County Georgia off Hwy 129 North. Two cars were involved, with only minor injuries. I photographed the wreck and the image was printed in the White County News. I have posted below the newspaper clipping, along with the original image and another that I shot. Everyone please remember to buckle up! Seat belts save lives!

This image that I created back in June of this year will be featured in the, "Beauty of Blue Ridge" calendar 2013. 5,000 copies will be printed and sold in downtown Blue Ridge stores and displayed in rental cabins.
The location of the shot is Morganton Point recreation area, Lake Blue Ridge. This is one of the most beautiful places in Georgia to watch a sunset.
I will be shooting Shirley Dillards 1955 Chevy Bel-air this Thursday at the Swan Drive-in. Very excited! Cant wait to see the final images!
